Tango cosmetics

Ever wondered if you, as a follower, are costing to the leaders you dance with more than the price of the milonga? Makeup, like in tango, follows the rule that less is the best. Read Tango Baby's comment and reflect. It may be time to think laterally. It may be not.

Haha!

Thinking back, I don't think I came across with any man in Edinburgh that had smudges of make-up! Although, what does annoy me is if a man does not take care of his odour or if he has too much cologne. Both distract me and make me gag.

I also don't remember many Edinburgher followers that had THAT much make-up... Unless they were 'really' old or something...

But yeah, I think that as one grows older, make-up becomes more necessary. And yes, I will take Tangobaby's advice into account when I'm older. Yes.

Yes, Supantheress, I can see you don't lead that often. Otherwise you'd notice that a little bit more. Anyway, it's not a huge problem, I haven't had that many shirts ruined by it.
And, yes, no makeup for you, young woman. Natural is better! ;o)

Hi Supantheress,

Yes, there comes a day when having a little cosmetic assistance is a good thing...and also being grateful that the lights at the milongas are kept low. What's even more perplexing is LA, the Land of Plastic Surgery, Botox, Collagen and Fake Tans. But that is another subject entirely.

;-)

I think in general American women tend to wear more makeup but that is only based on my observations.

Hi Tangobaby!

I would imagine it could be quite scary to be in a LA milonga when it's full of artificial features!! Would love to visit though! Alway up for exploring different styles of tango.

Well, Koolricky,
I don't wear that much make-up, thank you very much. I can also see that you don't follow very often. You should be thankful you haven't YET had any men's odour making you gag or have sweaty men's sweat drops falling inside your bra. Ha.

I have not yet had any bad odour experiences with men, because they're not the usual people I dance with. But unfortunately, I had that bad experience with some women. And the worst is that some of them were really good dancers and I had those good dancing moments spoilt...
