If visualised:

For those of you who are more visually oriented like me, the pictures shown below are clear and simple analogies of the differences in embrace between Ballroom tango and Argentine tango.

Ballroom Tango

vs

Argentine (true) Tango

*Notice the nocturnal backdrop and fabulous illuminations of la Tour Eiffel, as opposed to the empty cocktail glass.

Cheeky!
Anyway, as for the illuminations I think they are more part of ballroom. Argentine tango doesn't need them to be sparkly!

Agreed! :)

In "A" there is trust. Feeling someone else's heart beats allows us to let them into our soul, and this results in totality of delicious earthy connection.

In "V" there is distance, by intention, and all that connects between the two dancing is a negotiated agreement in maintaining calculated degrees of separation.

It is the embrace that makes every dancer unique, and differentiates everyone of us from the rest.

That is a perfect illustration. Now if I could just be dancing tango UNDER La Tour Eiffel, life would be just perfect.
