A few posts back, when supantheress was talking about dynamic fun, I had (other than my attempts to do everytime I dance) a few tango clips in my mind. Murat and Michelle's clip of Re Fa Si at the MIT milonga is a great example that tango CAN and SHOULD be fun and dynamic.
What do you think of it?

I love it! I am a big fan of Michelle and Murat - their musicality, the quality of their movement, the ability to move between moods/embraces/styles, ... This is a great example of a great, playful dance. It fits the music (both in terms of their steps being musical and in keeping with the mood created by the music) and is an example of beautiful dancing in a lighthearted way.
I agree, MT. This is one of the best examples of what makes them great. I hope she calms down with her adornos...
Hi Johanna and modern tanguera, you couldn't be more right!
I really like M&M maybe because they are in the same "wavelenght" of tango as I am. It doesn't mean we dance alike (I definitely don't dance half as well as Murat! ;o) but it's the way how we look into what we can get out of tango that is quite similar. Hence why I put this clip here.
On Michelle's adornos, I actually have commented that on one of their recent performances. I think Michelle has to look into some aspects of her technique which are still lacking (although, truth to be said, she has improved a lot in the last year and half). In their latest dances I think she's just hampering the flow with adornos, somewhat disrupting THEIR dynamic.
I still love them and I look forward to the day I'll invite them to come to the UK for workshops.

Well it's been a long time since I left seeing tango as traditional/nuevo thing. For me there is only... tango! And Horacio and Cecilia will always be one of the most enjoyable couples to watch!
